The Net Positive for Higher Education Symposium will highlight Hampshire College, Smith College, and Williams College and their holistic, multi-generational approach to sustainability, resiliency, health, innovation, and equity. This symposium is for campus planners, sustainability directors, faculty/educators, administrators, operations staff, policy professionals, and design and construction professionals.

With these challenges in mind, this year’s INSS theme will be “Localizing Sustainability: Local challenges, local champions”. Over the past six years, the annual INSS conference has transitioned to a multi-site conference that allows for the focus and comparison of multiple local challenges. This year’s theme will embrace this transition, allowing each INSS site to focus on local challenges and local champions, and creating opportunities to share these experiences across the conference.
Our 2018 Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement Meeting (CLDE18) is a conference intended to facilitate exchanges of knowledge and develop a sense of community around our shared civic learning and democratic engagement work.
This year’s consortium will focus on the topic of effective collaborations (within campuses, between campuses, and between campuses and communities). Events will include guest speakers, panel discussions and group workshops.
