Announcing the STARS Pilot Results
AASHE is excited to announce that the results of the STARS Pilot are now available! STARS (Sustainability, Tracking, Assessment & Rating System) is a voluntary, self-reporting framework for gauging relative progress toward sustainability for colleges and universities. The 12 month pilot project was completed by nearly 70 diverse colleges and universities from across the country and ended in January of this year. AASHE has compiled the results of the pilot and the summarized feedback. See the STARS page on the AASHE website or go directly to the document.
At this point, AASHE is assessing the comments received from the pilot and incorporating changes as appropriate. This work will be reflected in STARS version 0.9 which will be open for public comment in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more information on STARS 0.9 and how you will be able to provide comments. In the meantime, please contact stars@aashe.org with any questions.
