Description
Speakers display dynamic detail pages as well as appearing in the Speaker Slider component. The speaker detail pages are automatically generated at: conference/speaker/[Speaker Permalink]. The navigation for the speaker detail pages is set on the menus options as Speaker Navigation. The main heading and Conference Updates link can be updated in the Appearance Customize section under Speakers Section.
Adding and Editing Speakers
From the WordPress dashboard, click Speakers in the left menu to bring up the full listing. To edit an existing entry, click its name in the list; to add a new entry, click Add New at the top of the page.
Field Definitions
- Title: the name of the speaker
- Speaker Title: the title or position of the speaker
- Speaker Entity: the associated entity of the speaker
- Speaker Image: (Recommended 400w x 530h) the image of the speaker, appears on the detail page & slider component, must be a portrait oriented image
- Image Alignment: side which the speaker image appears in the billboard on the detail pages
- Quote: a quote of the speaker, appears in the billboard on detail pages
- Biography: the main content of the speaker detail page
- Video Link: YouTube link to embed a video billboard on the speaker detail page
- Video Title: Title of the video billboard
- Video Description: Description of the video billboard
- Related Work: content about the speaker’s related work, appears on the detail pages
- Related Work Images: image gallery of the speaker, appears on the detail pages
- Facebook: Facebook link of the speaker
- LinkedIn: LinkedIn link of the speaker
- Twitter: Twitter link of the speaker
- Banner Background Color: custom color selection for the detail page billboard
- Slider Background Color: custom color selection for the detail page slider background color
- Slider Text Color: custom color select for the detail page slider text color; ensure the text color is legible on the background color
