Join CURC and Busch Systems for this casual social mixer with fellow campus recyclers, reusers and zero wasters. Light food will be provided for early arrivers and a bar menu is available to purchase full meals. Brit’s Pub is a quick 5-minute walk down the Nicollet Mall from the conference hotel. This is a drop-in event and open to all AASHE conference attendees.

Pre-AASHE Big 10 & Friends Gathering
October 21, 2025 – 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Join us for the Pre-AASHE Big 10 & Friends Gathering! This gathering of colleagues and friends hosted by the UMN Twin Cities Office of Sustainability will be a chance to come together, collaborate, and ground ourselves before the Conference kicks off. The event will include a “climate cool” catered lunch by Chartwells and an optional post-gathering happy hour! The format of the event will start with individual reflection using the Inner Development Goals as a framework for identifying strengths and areas for growth. We will then move into small group discussion and a “World Building” activity to imagine the future of BTAF. What do we want sustainability in the Big 10 to look like in 5 years? Who are we as a collective? What do we need at this moment to move forward? How do we tell our story? This event will be an opportunity to gather, learn, share, and dream big. This session will be designed to be relevant to anyone and everyone working in sustainability spaces in higher education.
