  • Why book through AASHE?
AASHE contracts hotel rooms to ensure attendees have quality, convenient, and affordable accommodations. Staying at the AASHE contracted hotel also strengthens the conference’s economic impact in Baltimore and guarantees several important benefits when you book within the official block:

    • An exceptional group rate. Our rate goes against the grain of current hospitality trends. You won’t find a better room rate matching terms in Baltimore.
    • Extended availability. Group rates are available three days before and three days after the conference, based on availability at the time of reservation.
    • Overbooking protection. Even if the hotel is overbooked, the hotel will provide a comparable hotel as close as possible at no charge, including one daily round-trip ground transportation.
    • Flexible payment terms. When booking in the block, you do not have to prepay your entire stay, unlike many discounted third-party booking sites that require full prepayment with strict terms.
    • No surprise fees. The hotel will not impose additional mandatory charges such as energy surcharges, activity, or resort fees. When booking within the AASHE block, you are only responsible for the room rate and applicable taxes. Hotel incidentals, early departure fees, or late check-out fees remain at your discretion.

Book within the AASHE block to get the best value, protections, and convenience while experiencing Baltimore with fellow attendees.

  • Housing pirates
Commonly referred to as “housing pirates” or “housing bandits,” these are companies that phone, fax, or email attendees and exhibitors. They claim to offer good deals on hotel rooms. They may falsely claim to be affiliated with the hotel in our conference city or even with AASHE. This deceptive practice and the companies engaged in it are not affiliated with AASHE or the conference hotel.

The hotel will only contact you directly if there is a question about your reservation. Unless you have initiated the communication, please do not provide anyone with your personal information, especially your credit card number. If you provide your credit card information to one of these companies, your card may be charged, and there is no guarantee that you will have a room upon your arrival.
