AASHE recently joined the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll), a network of organizations working towards the creation of a wellbeing economy. WEAll seeks to bring about a transformation of the economic system, of society and of institutions so that all actors prioritize shared wellbeing on a healthy planet.
In conjunction with our membership in WEAll, AASHE has also become a co-organizer of the New Economy and Social Innovation (NESI) Global Forum that will take place April 24-26, 2019, in Málaga, Spain. Considered the ‘Davos’ of the new economy movement, the NESI Forum is one of the most significant global gatherings of people and organizations involved in the development of the new economy that focuses on people and planet. This year’s NESI Forum will be an exciting opportunity to explore how to achieve the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals through local action and social innovation.
