March 1

Ecological forest research in New Jersey has a legacy that is nearly a century old. Participants will hear researchers from New Jersey’s scientific institutions share insights and updates on their research that all together can help us understand the past, present, and future trajectories of our forests.

Speakers will present on a variety of subjects affecting northern New Jersey’s forests, including: the impacts of deer, invasive species, climate, post-agricultural soils, the potential for carbon sequestration, trends in biodiversity including plant and bird communities, ecological restoration, and more!

This event is FREE and open to the public. NO FOOD OR DRINK WILL BE PROVIDED. You are welcome to bring your own or purchase from the nearby RVCC cafe or the RVCC cafeteria.
