Board of Directors

The purpose of AASHE's Board of Directors is to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the governance and general promotion of AASHE so as to support the organization’s mission and needs. The Board consists of faculty, staff or administrators and business leaders representing AASHE members.

AASHE is committed to ensuring the diversity of its board, staff, volunteers, and programming. The organization will achieve this goal through purposeful thought, values, policies, and practices. We define individual diversity in terms of race, gender, religion, culture, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical abilities, age, parental status, and socio-economics. We define institutional and professional diversity by organization type, size, location and mission.

We respect different experiences and cultures across this diversity and will work to create a culture in which diverse people feel supported, recognized, and rewarded in making their best contributions to the mission of our organization.
