In an effort to increase the accessibility and diversity of sustainability-oriented training for faculty, AASHE designates institutions as Centers for Sustainability Across the Curriculum. These Centers, which are selected based on their experience organizing sustainability-oriented professional development for their own faculty, agree to organize at least one workshop or other professional development offering annually that is open to faculty from other institutions. Each Center decides for itself on the specifics of these offerings (e.g., format, topical focus, timing, registration rates) resulting in programs that can support faculty with a wide variety of needs and interests. With support from Microsoft, AASHE is working to expand the Centers program globally by recruiting new institutions to become Centers and organizing a support group to train faculty leaders from other institutions to establish sustainability across the curriculum programs. After running their own programs for several years, we hope that these institutions will be in a position to become new Centers for Sustainability Across the Curriculum.

AASHE is seeking new institutions to join the Centers program! Learn more about this opportunity and submit an application!

Please email Daita Serghi if you have any questions about the Centers program.
