The SDSN will collaborate with the SRI as a Lead Partner, working to advance the Congress’s thought leadership through substantive program development, communications, and activation of our global network. As part of this partnership, the SDSN’s International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) will integrate with the SRI Congress, leveraging our collective efforts to advance solutions to the most pressing sustainable development challenges of our time.

The International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE) is looking forward to welcoming you to our 25th Anniversary Conference in Durban, South Africa this August. This milestone event invites participants to reflect on our collective impact over the past quarter century and to chart inclusive future directions for service-learning and community engagement.

The International Conference on Sustainable Development is organized by the European Center of Sustainable Development in collaboration with CIT University. The 13th ICSD 2025 draws inspiration from the pressing challenges of environmental, economic, and socio-cultural sustainability, addressing the needs of present and future generations within a global-scale context.

This event will unite the global scientific community to confront the most urgent sustainability challenges of our time. This year’s theme, Rising to the Challenge, addresses both the urgency and the opportunity facing science, from adapting to a shifting regulatory and funding landscape to strengthening trust through transparency and third party verification.
