Webinar: Certifying High-Performing and Sustainable Parking Structures on Campus: A Parksmart Workshop

March 13 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

Parksmart is the world’s only certification program that defines, measures, and recognizes high-performing, sustainable garages. Developed by industry experts, Parksmart offers a roadmap for new and existing parking facilities to use innovative, solutions-oriented strategies. Points are awarded to parking structures for forward-thinking and sustainable practices in three categories: management, programs, and technology structure design. Parksmart certification is integrated with LEED rating systems under the aegis of the United States Green Building Council. This workshop will offer a primer on the program, addressing the structure, categories and measures required for certification. The special session will dive into the specific considerations for Parksmart in a university setting.

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Illustrate the management, programmatic, technological, and structural elements of certification.
  • Demonstrate how Parksmart best practices enhance value and achieve sustainability objectives.
  • Recognize environmentally sustainable solutions in new, existing, and retrofitted parking garages.
