This cohort provides a full year of dedicated hands-on training and support from AASHE staff to guide participants through the reporting process, with the ultimate aim of earning a STARS Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum rating. Organized through a private, online community, participants meet virtually once per month to receive support and curriculum from AASHE staff and to brainstorm ideas, share resources and ask questions. Meetings are recorded so anyone in the cohort can watch the recording later.

The year-long curriculum includes the STARS framework, data collection strategies, a review of all credits, high-error rate credits, the AASHE staff review and revision process, and special guests. 

By the end of this course, participants will:

• Understand how to complete a STARS assessment,
• Gain familiarity with the credit criteria,
• Know where to find supporting resources and documentation, 
• Understand some of the most common reporting errors, or where to find them, and
• Know what to expect leading up to and after submission review.

Schedule:

The course will meet 12 times throughout 2027. The date and time of the meeting is determined by a poll of cohort participants in early January. The day/time that works for the highest number of people is selected. The meetings are one hour and are recorded.

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available to individuals who need financial assistance to participate. Please apply two weeks before the program begins to be considered for a scholarship for this workshop.

Registration Policies:

• Registration deadline is Jan. 4, 2027.
• Payment is accepted in the form of Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards.
• If you need to pay by check or ACH, please contact us at least 5 weeks prior to the event start date. Registration using these forms of payment must be received 4 weeks prior to the event start date and full payment must be received by AASHE within 2 weeks of event start date.
• Cancellation Policy: A 20% processing fee applies to any cancellation processed up to ten days before the program starts. No refunds will be given after that date.
• No substitutions are allowed.
• Registered participants will receive access to the recording after the live event.
