Webinar: From Data to Action: Streamlining STARS OP 7 with the Real Food Calculator
Join this webinar and learn how to wield the Real Food Calculator and streamline STARS OP 7 sustainability reporting.
Get a clear, practical overview of Real Food values while learning how products are evaluated and categorized within the Calculator. We’ll walk through the full assessment process and show how your results translate directly into AASHE STARS reporting.
Rather than introducing a new framework, this session offers a proven, field-tested approach for working with the data institutions already have but often underutilize. What makes this work especially powerful is its emphasis on product-level purchasing data as a tool for both reporting and strategy. We’ll show how deeper product research and classification can unlock more accurate STARS OP 7 reporting while revealing where institutions can strategically shift their spend.
You’ll leave knowing exactly what data you need, how products qualify, and how to translate results into actionable insights for decision-making, reporting, and goal-setting. We’ll highlight the deeper insights your team can unlock from procurement data, address common challenges, and share examples of campuses that have strengthened their STARS scores through more rigorous, far-reaching product research with support from the Real Food Calculator team.
Grounded in implementation across multiple campuses, including both self-operated and contracted dining systems, this session also highlights how student engagement and cross-campus collaboration can strengthen data quality and institutional buy-in. For experienced practitioners, it offers a rare look at how to operationalize procurement data at scale, turning reporting requirements into a driver of accountability, transparency, and measurable impact.
Designed for students, campus administrators, dining teams, vendors, and organizational partners, this session provides a clear, accessible entry point into building more just, transparent, and values-aligned campus food systems.
