Grand Challenges Institute: Water

May 13, 2019 - May 15, 2019

Learn with us! We invite colleagues from continental US and internationally to to the 3rd annual Grand Challanges Institute to learn with University of Hawaiʻi faculty. We value your contributions and manaʻo (wisdom).
Join us for three days of intensive trans-disciplinary professional development around course and educational project (re)design focusing on water in the wider contexts of lived practice, community engagement, indigenous knowledge, sustainability, food sovereignty, and climate change.

With both collaborative and individual work time to design practical, usable research, courses, and projects, all participants will be contributors and have opportunities to network and make meaningful connections. Field experiences on the Leeward coast of O’ahu are integrated into the institute, guided by local practitioners. We hope to inspire new ways of teaching and learning.
