Allison came to AASHE in January 2009 as the Business Manager for the office in Lexington, KY. Before relocating to Kentucky in 2001, she lived in Southern Maine, where her mother, father and 4 sisters still reside. In 1994 she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. During college she worked part-time as a bookkeeper for a retail grocery chain. Since graduating she has held positions as a purchasing agent for a private school, a senior accountant and payables supervisor at a hardware distributor and a financial manager for a non-profit organization. Before coming to AASHE she held the position of Director of Finance & Administration for the Lexington affiliate of Habitat for Humanity for five years. It is important to her to be a part of an organization that makes a positive difference in the lives of others. During her free time she enjoys attending church, volunteering at the Humane Society, reading and visiting family in Maine.
