Thank you for your willingness to present at the Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (GCSHE)! We could not do this without you and are here to help you. Below you can find information about presenter responsibilities, how to plan your presentation, tips and tricks for presenting an engaging live or recorded session, and answers to some common questions or concerns.   • Before the Conference

    • Accepted presenters need to go through a two-step process in order to have their session included in the program: 
      1. RSVP/Confirm: Log into your Speaker Portal using the credentials received via email and sign the Presenter Policies & Agreement to agree to present your sessions. 
      2. Register: All accepted speakers must register to attend the conference regardless of the session type. To get started, select Presenter, select your Presenter Ticket, and enter the Access Code you received via email.
    • Attend presenter trainings (or watch the recordings).
    • Design your session following these best practices for creating an engaging session.
    • Finalize assigned tasks in your Speaker Portal including:
      1. Update your presenter profile (bio and headshot)
      2. Review session information (title, description, etc)
      3. Upload session materials: We welcome slides, white papers, or other documentation that will enhance your presentation. Attendees will be able to download these documents from your session page. Please note, that you are unable to upload videos directly to the Speaker Portal.
    •  In addition to the above, for on-demand presenters (pre-recorded sessions):
      1. Create your pre-recorded content (in accordance with these guidelines
      2. Upload the recording to AASHE by Sept. 16, 2022
        • If there are multiple presenters with multiple recordings, combine them all into a single file and designate one person from the group to upload the file.
        • Be sure your video file name includes your session title.
        • Confirm you have all appropriate permissions to share all elements of your recording.

  • During the Conference
    For live sessions presenters

    1. Log in to our virtual conference platform no less than 10 minutes prior to the start of your session. 
    2. Facilitate or moderate an engaging session with attendees via Zoom in the conference platform. You may use features such as breakout rooms and audience polls.
    3. End your session at the scheduled time to allow the next session to start on time and enable attendees to get to their next event on time.

  • After the Conference
    Upload session materials in your Speaker Portal by the provided deadline: slides, white papers or other documentation that will enhance your presentation. These will be archived in the Campus Sustainability Hub.
