Danielle Faris is the Events Manager for AASHE, with a primary focus on the yearly AASHE Conference. After receiving a BS in Parks and Recreation Admin, with a concentration in Event Management from the University of Delaware, Danielle moved to Colorado where she coordinated a week long bicycle tour through the Rockies. She moved into non-profit development, hosting over 10,000+ participants in fundraising walks while introducing 'zero-waste' events and recycling programs to divert waste streams. Prior to joining AASHE, Danielle ran a private event consulting firm focusing in the fields of thought leadership, large scale logistics, and sustainability. This included working with the State of Colorado to present health care forums statewide and serving as lead Project Manager for several clients during the Democratic National Convention. She is excited to be involved with urban gardening and farming initiatives, volunteering with Safe Harbor Lab Rescue, and backpacking, snowshoeing or hiking with her husband and two labs.
