AASHE Curriculum Convocation

Conference Year:
AASHE 2011

Advancing sustainability education through the development of dynamic and academically rich curriculum is a strong priority of AASHE. What is needed is curriculum that prepares learners for living in a sustainable world, both professionally and personally, and that explicitly helps each learner deeply understand the interactions, inter-connections, and the consequences of actions and decisions.

Continuing to support higher education educators, the Curriculum Convocation will call together the community to discuss critical questions and issues, possibilities and barriers that move us toward the development of vital curriculum. Each academic discipline and professional and workforce program has a unique and essential contribution to make. The readiness of students to enter the workforce relies on the articulation of learner outcomes, choreographed for specific educational programs and for interdisciplinary initiatives.
