Program Description

Building on a solid foundation of agricultural science, the GPSA provides students the opportunity to cross traditional disciplinary boundaries.

The GPSA was the first and remains the only graduate program in the US to offer both the MS and PhD degrees in sustainable agriculture. While competing pro-grams have arisen in agroecology and organic agriculture, the GPSA remains the only grad program that allows students to pursue a true interdisciplinary curriculum that includes the biological, social, and economic elements of sustainability.
