Program Description
Furman University will begin offering a new major in the emerging field of sustainability science, making the institution among the first universities globally to offer such a multidisciplinary program.
The new major is being offered through the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES) and will lead to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in sustainability science. The Furman faculty unanimously approved the new offering at its Nov. 2 meeting, and students can opt for declaring the new major and begin taking its courses immediately.
