Vandana Shiva gave the closing keynote speech at AASHE 08 earlier this morning. Focusing her talk on food and the increasing globalization of the food industry, Dr. Shiva discussed the important role campuses can play. She encouraged the audience to invest in edible landscapes on their campus grounds, purchase fair trade food and goods, and be cognizant of the implications their supply chains have on the environment and communities.
