The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) has announced the full session schedule for the 2018 AASHE Conference & Expo to be held October 2-5 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Attendees will be able to choose from more than 300 sessions, workshops, and networking meetings and visit more than 290 posters during the conference. In addition, the conference will feature an expo hall with almost 100 sustainability focused product and service providers.

This year’s conference sessions are organized into 17 different topical tracks aligned with the STARS (Sustainability, Tracking, Assessment and Rating System) categories. Attendees will be able to select sessions based on topic of interest, session level and/or intended audience type. The advanced search and filter feature also allows attendees to view sessions based on date, session type, and speaker name.

Also, this year marks the highest international representation for the AASHE Conference & Expo with a total 20 different sessions presented from 16 different countries. This may be attributed to this year’s conference theme, “Global Goals: Rising to the Challenge”, which examines the critical role of higher education in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Adopted by the world’s governments in September 2015, the 17 SDGs establish ambitious global targets to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all by 2030.

AASHE is finalizing details with keynote speakers. More details will be shared in mid-June.

There are two days left for attendees to register using the early bird discount. Prices will increase on June 1. For more information, visit conference.aashe.org.
