The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) has launched the call for applications for the 2016 AASHE Sustainability Awards.

The awards recognize sustainability achievements, research and leadership skills by AASHE member institutions. More than 60 campuses have received recognition through this prestigious award program since its inception in 2006. Last year, 113 submissions from 84 institutions from the United States, Canada and Singapore were received.

Three types of award categories will be recognized. Categories include:

The AASHE Sustainability Awards celebrates leaders who are truly pioneering the campus sustainability movement.

Applications are being accepted through AASHE’s new Campus Sustainability Hub, designed to help members quickly and easily find the resources most relevant to them through advanced search and filtering options.

Attendees are encouraged to apply today to be honored for outstanding projects and research dedicated toward advancing sustainability in higher education. Awards will be presented during the AASHE 2016 Opening Ceremony on Oct. 9 in Baltimore, Maryland.
