Discounted Membership Offer for Under-resourced Institutions
AASHE has partnered with Second Nature to make it easier for under-resourced institutions to join AASHE (particularly Title III and Title V schools). We are pleased to offer eligible schools a 60% membership discount. This special offer is limited to 50 first-time member institutions, and ends December 1, 2010. Funding has been generously provided by the Kresge Foundation. To find out if your institution is eligible, see the list of eligible institutions.
The discounted membership is part of a larger capacity-building program, Advancing Green Building in Higher Education, that is focused on addressing the challenges faced by under-resourced colleges and universities to ‘build green’ on their campuses. The program’s goal is to enable under-resourced schools to learn about and use the array of resources available for green construction and renovation – in order to save money, reduce negative environmental and health impacts, utilize buildings as educational tools, and increase student learning.
AASHE membership offers access to a rich array of online resources and numerous opportunities for networking, information-sharing, collaboration, and professional development. Membership covers the entire campus and connects an institution with the growing network of colleges and universities, businesses, and nonprofits that are working to achieve a just, equitable, and ecologically sound future. AASHE members can access an online Resource Center, receive discounts to conference and workshops, and take advantage of many other membership benefits.
Campuses joining as part of this special offer may participate in a welcome webinar about AASHE resources and programs, as well as a series of complimentary teleconferences on campus sustainability topics such as green building, master planning, and energy conservation.
Join today, and begin taking advantage of AASHE resources immediately. To become a member, complete the special application form, and return it by mail, email, or fax.
