Business Membership - The Business Alliance Program

Through AASHE's Business Alliance Program, businesses of any size may join at one of three levels: Associate, Supporter and Leader. Each offers excellent value, as described below.  Membership aligns your company with other leading edge businesses working to create a sustainable future and improve their triple bottom line.

Benefits of Business Alliance Program Membership

ASSOCIATE LEVEL BENEFITS

• Event Discounts - Receive registration and exhibitor discounts on AASHE's annual conference and other AASHE-sponsored events. 
   
• Sponsorship Discounts - Associate members receive discounts on sponsorship of AASHE publications, including the weekly AASHE Bulletin and annual AASHE Digest.

• Publicity & Visibility  - AASHE publicizes campus-business partnership successes through our newsletter, blog, publications, and events. In addition:
  
  • The AASHE Member Logo may be used on your website, signage, brochures, and other publicity or display materials to emphasize your commitment to sustainability.
  • The Press Release Template may be used to announce your institution's membership

• Opportunity to Offer Discounts to AASHE Members - Business members may offer a promotional discount on their products and services to AASHE members. The list of special discount offers will be regularly promoted by AASHE, and each new discount will be run once in the Bulletin.
   
• Access to Member-only Resources - AASHE's Resource Center is a rich and comprehensive clearinghouse for campus sustainability information. It contains example policies and plans incorporating sustainability; assessment tools, surveys and reports; publications and how-to guides; job descriptions for campus sustainability staff, sustainability profiles of campuses, extensive publications and databases, and many other resources, most of which are member-only.
   
• Networking - AASHE offers opportunities to meet with the campus community at conferences, professional development trainings, online discussion forums, conference calls, and other venues.  Our annual conference and expo bring together individuals from all sectors of higher education, and includes a student summit. AASHE events offer premier networking opportunities - you can connect with campuses at regional, national, and international levels to share ideas and information.
   
• Listing on AASHE Business Members page - every Business Associate is included on our list of business members. This list is currently being re-organized by product & service categories and will be actively promoted to our campus members.

• Governance Opportunities - Business members may participate in relevant AASHE committees, working groups, and governance.  AASHE welcomes the technical expertise and experience that businesses can bring to discussions around campus sustainability and AASHE goals.

• Newsletters - AASHE Bulletin is the premier e-newsletter on sustainability in higher education in North America. Published weekly, it contains the latest news, resources, opportunities, and events related to campus sustainability. In addition, AASHE members are automatically subscribed to AASHE Announcements for key updates on AASHE programs and operations. Members may also wish to subscribe to STARS Update.
