AASHE Hiring Two New IT StaffAASHE, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, is seeking applicants for two IT-related staff positions: a Web Developer and a Data Manager. Web DeveloperThe Web Developer will support the IT Manager in delivering online services requested by AASHE staff, members and partners. Duties include:
Supervision The person in this position will work with AASHE’s IT Manager. Profile We need candidates who love to work in the web environment, and aren't afraid to jump into complex assignments or learn new systems. Flexibility, willingness to learn, ability to teach oneself from documentation and a positive attitude are as important as experience. We prefer candidates with familiarity and capability in more than one programming language and development/production environment. Teamwork will be important, but candidates should also be self-motivated: capable of setting and meeting deadlines and deliverables without a great deal of supervision. Multi-tasking and an ability to work well under short-term pressure are a must. Candidates should have good communications skills, written and oral. Candidates should be prepared to work remotely from a home office, unless they are located in Lexington, KY. Travel to in-person meetings will be provided as needed. Qualifications At minimum a BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar curriculum with software development emphasis.
