Campus Sustainability Day

HEASC is excited to support the Sixth Campus Sustainability Day (CSD) & Streaming Webcast taking place on October 22, 2008! Many colleges and universities have used CSD and the annual SCUP webcast to engage and educate their campus community's in reviewing their sustainability progress and to develop plans for the future. Colleges and universities are encouraged to create events on campus and elsewhere that draw participants for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among faculty, staff, students, and members of their local communities.

For this year's webcast SCUP and The New York Times Knowledge Network will bring you a panel that includes renowned climate change expert Richard Moss of the World Wildlife Federation and Second Nature President, Dr. Anthony Cortese. Moderating the discussion will be NYT science editor, Andy Revkin.  Visit SCUP's Campus Sustainability Planning Network webpage for more details on how to register and share your event.

When planning your event please invite and include the numerous individuals on your campus that are members of HEASC associations. From intramural sports directors and sustainability coordinators to business officers and trustees HEASC has the sustainability resources to support your institutions sustainability goals and initiatives.

CSD provides an opportunity to plan an all inclusive and integrated campus event that models and promotes sustainable development!
