I sense that for some larger universities it may be economically feasible to purchase a singular wind turbine as part of larger wind farm development. If any of your universities participate in construction of large size >1 Megawatt wind turbine, in conjunction with the major wind farm developers, please, respond to this post. It would be interesting to learn about the first cost, payback analysis, lease of land details, warranty, maintenance agreement and all legal hurtles. Any contact connections will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Witold,
You may find this paper helpful, "Best Practices Guide for On-Campus Wind Energy" which is in our database of student research on campus sustainability.
There are a few campuses that have installed wind turbines at the scale that you are interested in including the University of Minnesota, Morris, St. Olaf College, and Carleton College. Information on all three of these campuses are featured in the best practices guide mentioned previosuly, including cost, financing, process for construction, brand of turbine, etc. There also links for more information and to obtain contact info.
