Any suggestions/recommendations for water filtration stations? Our local water is very high quality and eminently drinkable, but they do tend to chlorinate it which sometimes affects taste.. so we're looking at installing some filtered water stations where those with refillable beverage bottles can refill said containers. But there are some concerns - especially right now with H1N1 running rampant - of contamination with bottle lips touching the dispenser nozzle. Anbody seen a station that neatly addresses this in its dispenser design?
In an effort to eliminate the need for residents to purchase bottled water, UC Davis Student Housing has plans to install Hydration Stations from Haws in the first floor locations of all residence halls and dining commons over the next few years. That means over 35 stations. The stations provide free, filtered water and are touch-free. Additionally, components of the station are antimicrobially treated (the components use silver).

The Responsible Purchasing Network will be hosting a webinar on Oct. 29th on bottled water alternatives for universities. RPN will also be releasing a guide soon that will cover policies, standards and specifications, and case studies from educational institutions that have transitioned away from bottled water and embraced water filtration stations.
I think your question on some of the concerns with contamination are important. I too would be interested to hear if campuses are simply increasing the frequency of cleaning or if there are dispensers that can easily overcome this challenge.
