Fortunately, we haven’t had to worry about ice buildup yet here in Vermont, we all know it will come in due time. I was asked to see what other smallish campuses (2000 students) use for successful yet non-polluting (or less polluting) ice melting systems. Thoughts?

Thanks for asking the question Christina, it must be buying time for ice melting. Just today I was asked to assess a product called MAG Ice Melting (Pellets or Flakes). They describe themselves as being less corrosive and more environmentally friendly but would very much like to know what people are using out there and how sustainable the entire 'ice' industry is.
