Hi,
I am hoping that someone might be able to provide suggestions for alternatives for lodging in LA for the AASHE conference in October. The hotels that are offered on the conference website are a little out of my price range (would like to keep the cost to $100 or less a night), so I was hoping to find a way to stay at either a hostel or cheaper hotel. I realize that LA is expensive, so I would also be open to sharing a room with someone, or staying with someone in the local area to reduce the cost.
I am coming to the conference as an individual (I am not affiliated with any school or company, as I am an independent contractor and have been volunteering for AASHE since the beginning of this year) to the conference from the Washington DC / Virginia area. Therefore I don't have other people coming with me to coordinate this with. So I am hoping that posting this on the forum might lead to some good ideas for me for lodging for the conference.
Please let me know if anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me. I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks so much,
Dan Triman

Dan,
My name is Mauricio Leon, I am a student of the Wartburg College in Iowa. I am also looking to sharing a Hotel Room at the cost that you want. If you are interested please email me at maricio.leon@wartburg.edu or call me. 319 529 7837
Thanks.
If anyone is still looking for housing, I'd love to split a hotel room or find a place through airBnB
Don't hesitate to reach out and shoot me an email at smh2tf@virginia.edu
Thanks,
