Here at USM we have reusable bags, cups, mugs, to-go containers, and bags. Considering the incentives to buy-in to the reusable to-go containers (free coffee coupon, monthly prizes, currently a discounted price) they are by far the most popular. Our other items are a little more expensive than a typical college student wants to pay for so we are considering creating incentives for these products as well. We will most likely go with a certain percentage or x amount of money off each time a customer uses a reusable item, but I am interested in what other organizations may be doing. Thank you

Kayla, I see that you are involved in the dining services, but I also wanted to let you know about refillable markers for your campus. AusPen eco-friendly markers are dry-erase markers that are made of recycled materials, the ink is non-toxic, and the markers are refillable. They cut down on so much waste (think of all the discarded disposable markers on campus!) and toxins. It is also significantly less expensive to refill a marker than buy a new one. Here's the website for your interest: http://www.ecosmartworld.com
