Are you expanding your recycling program as part of your campus sustainability program? Have you identified new materials to target for diversion via your zero waste policies? If so, have you paid attention to the logistics of how material moves out of your buildings or are you losing all of the benefits of recycling to unnecessarily redundant collection crews.
In my latest blog series, I look at a series of collection systems that allow you to significantly expand your recycling recovery with little or no net increase in collection costs and far less headaches and in-fighting. Hope this helps.

I also invite folks to check out the remainder of this blog mini series that looks at other collection options:
Part 2 investigates back-hauling opportunities.
Part 3 looks at self-hauling by staff.
Hope this helps. As always, comments and other experiences that you want to share with my readers are always welcome.
