I am not incredibly familiar with the specific calculations used in Bon Appetit's Low Carbon Diet Calculator, but the web app definitely creates a cool visual. If that link does not take you directly to the calculator, try this one: http://www.eatlowcarbon.org/#. Though our school does not work with Bon Appetit (and I have not thoroughly investigated the metrics of the calculator), it is a neat concept.
