Multiple groups are coming together at Georgia State University to promote sustainability on campus this week!

• Our student newspaper, The Signal, has featured campus sustainability as the front cover feature article.

• There is also an ongoing campaign among student organizations, like Sustainable Energy Tribe, and the student government to assess student interest through surveys and get some of the student fee reallocated to cover sustainable initiatives.

• In front of Library North in the courtyard and also in front of Petit Science Center from 11am-1pm, locally grown, organic in season produce will be handed out along with trivia on hunger issues. There will be info about Food Day and Atlanta Food Bank. This is the kick off for a canned food drive hosted by the Nutrition Student Network with donations going to Atlanta Food Bank.

• ONE Campus Challenge and the Non-Profit Leadership Alliance are hosting a networking dinner at Farm Burger in Decatur from 6:30pm-8:30pm. 410B W. Ponce De Leon Decatur, Georgia 30030. • The Atlanta Herpetology Club is hosting an educational photographic exhibit in the Gallery (Room 346) of the Student Center highlighting the biodiversity of the state of Georgia with regard to reptiles and amphibians, which runs from October 22-November 16. As part of the monthly Atlanta downtown Arts Walk, a celebratory reception free and open to the public will be held on November 1 at 5:30pm, with one of the artists who does ecological research at Georgia Southern University, Lance McBrayer, in attendance. Dr. McBrayer will be presenting a talk on his research, "The Florida Scrub Lizard: A Model Organism for Integrative Ecological Research" earlier that day at 1:25pm in Classroom South 104.
