In honor of Campus Sustainability Day and SLU's sustainability week, Facilities Services, in partnership with the Center for Sustainability, is releasing its first Annual Campus Sustainability Report. Click here.

To kick-start this week's events, an Environmental Awareness Seminar will be held in the Busch Student Center, Room 256, on October 24 from 1-2:30 pm. Part of the presentation will review SLU's participation in STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System), what Facilities Services has been doing in regards to sustainability at SLU, and a presentation on ‘The Basics of Single-Stream Recycling’.

Don't have time to attend? Stop by our table in the BSC and talk to one of our recycling experts.

Over the next few weeks Facilities Services will add exterior blue recycling receptacles to the campus walkways. The next time you throw something away take advantage of the blue receptacles and recycle! Put paper products as well as metal, plastic, and glass containers into the blue cans. Toss trash, such as food, liquids and Styrofoam, into the traditional black “landfill” cans.
