Campus Sustainability Day

For more information about this Campus Sustainability Day event, please contact the institution's event contact person as listed below.

.
Campus Sustainability Day focuses on the education and subsequent participation of university students in environmental awareness and sustainable living practices. This day incorporates multimedia, professional and academic speakers, and hands-on learning to create a fun and informative atmosphere through which students can become more involved in their campus community and better practice environmental and social integrity. Come out for campus-wide events all day and learn how to reduce your environmental impact, eat sustainably grown food or volunteer to improve the sustainability of the campus.

SF State will be breaking ground at our new Campus Community Farm which is located behind Hensill Hall and Thornton Hall by the greenhouse. There will be a variety of activities for people to get involved in, such as building planter boxes, planting seedlings, DIY workshops, building a compost area and building a nursery. Come check out how sustainability is thriving on our campus through our Campus Community Farm. Other events will be happening throughout the day such as a plant sale, clothing swap, zero waste awareness, fair trade coffee, food drive, film screening, and keynote speakers.
