The Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy Southeast Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnership, is hosting the Regional Climate Action Plan Implementation Workshop: Resilient Energy Systems on September 27-28 in Miami.

This two-day workshop will focus on the development of resilient energy systems for critical infrastructure facilities through the expanded use of distributed energy resources to improve Southeast Florida’s disaster preparedness and ensure long-term regional resilience.

Workshop participants will leave this workshop with:

  • Tools to develop and evaluate plans for resilient energy systems at critical infrastructure facilities
  • Key metrics to balance energy resilience, energy costs, and clean energy goals
  • Best practices and lessons learned from state and local government program implementation of resilient energy systems

This workshop continues the Compact’s series of workshops designed to advance the implementation of the Regional Climate Action Plan and specifically focuses on recommendations from the Energy and Fuel and Risk Reduction and Emergency Management chapters.
