Electric Vehicles Gain Traction On Campuses
AASHE recently released a new members only resource compiling a list of campuses that have electric vehicles in their campus fleets. A companion resource to our Biodiesel in Campus Fleets list, the electric vehicles fleet resource illustrates that there are many campuses who have invested in this cleaner form of technology.
For example, did you know that the University of California, San Diego owns and operates over 225 electric vehicles on its campus? Or that the landscaping, grounds, physical plant and police utilize electric vehicles in place of gas powered ones on the campus of Elon University?
Check out some of Tacoma Community College's electric vehicles below. They are used by the grounds department, campus security, and mail room and print shop.

Does your campus have experience with electric vehicles? I would love to hear some of the pros and cons and if any campuses should be added to our list.
