Lisa Satin is the Conference Manager for AASHE. Lisa has Bachelor degrees in Psychology and in Religion from Emory University and a law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law. Recently she completed additional coursework toward a Graduate Certificate for Developmental Disabilities at the University of Kentucky. Lisa has experience practicing law, facilitating health insurance compliance for a health insurance company and facilitating research compliance for the University of Kentucky. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Lisa has actively served on several non-profit boards including the Lexington Childrens’ Theatre, the Fayette Cooperating Nursery School and Kindergarten and the Lexington Chapter of Hadassah. Lisa has also been a member of a Citizens Review Panel which monitors Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services. She also has completed leadership training with the Prichard Committee’s Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership. Lisa lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her husband and two children. They enjoy biking, hiking, alpine sliding, canoeing, and white water rafting together. She also enjoys teaching religious school. |
